Welcome to GVU!

We are the Grapevine Unity Group of Alcoholics Anonymous in Grapevine, Texas. We have A.A. meetings seven (7) days a week 3-4 times a day. If you believe you may have a drinking problem (or are interested in learning more about A.A.*), we would love to see you at one of our meetings.

* If you don’t have a desire to stop drinking or are just interested in learning more about A.A., you are welcome to attend any OPEN meeting on our meeting schedule. Open Meetings are held on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. Closed meetings are held on Tuesdays & Fridays.

The Alcoholics Anonymous Preamble

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

A.A. General Service

Grapevine Unity Group is part of District 61 in the Northeast Texas Area 65 of Alcoholics Anonymous (NETA65) in A.A.’s General Service structure. Our group’s General Service Representative (GSR) (and Alternate GSR) attends District 61, Combined District (CD6) & Area 65 service meetings to vote our group’s conscience anytime the business of A.A. is being decided upon. NETA65 is one of the 93 Delegate Areas in the United States and Canada (and one of four [4] in the State of Texas) who all contribute to the service work and direction of Alcoholics Anonymous worldwide.
